Family reunion

We are having Jeremy's family reunion in panguitch Utah this weekend. We got up at 5:30 this morning to go watch the hot air balloon launch.

It was awesome. There were about 30 balloons.

Now we are having breakfast, the fishin pond, volleyball, and lots of visiting.

And rides on the four wheeler train.

Pictures from 2010

I am mostly focusing on getting current photos put on picture pages, but as I have time I also am picking pictures from the past that I want to do.

These two are from 2010, one is at Estero park, one of the kids' favorite parks to play at and the other is the girls with a bug and the pictures are just so bright and beautiful, I wish all my photos would turn out so fabulous.

This Week

Sometimes a week goes by and I think we haven't done much. But taking pictures and documenting the week shows me that we keep busy and do lots of things. Of course not as much as my kids would like to do, they never think we do enough fun things and complain that we do too many chores. I think our house would indicate the opposite, we play more than we clean.

Anyway here is a brief overview of our week, and it is really only part of the week because I didn't get any pictures today, and for the next 3 days we will be at a family reunion. So really it's only of Sunday through Wednesday.

Nothing too out of the ordinary this week, eating at the park, going to the library, playing with friends and swimming. An and unbalanced number of Matthew because he is so stinken cute. He's into hats and is always putting one on.

Lydia's page

Lydia didn't get much input for her page. I did most of it, but she came by when I was working on it and said:
"don't use that"  and  "add this picture"

Charlie's page

Charlie helped create his own photo page today. He liked keeping it simple without embellishments.

I've taken time to put together a binder for each of the kids and photo copied their
--birth certificate
--baby blessing record
--baby footprints

That's a start.

I'm mostly doing a family scrapbook, but the kids can put some stuff in theirs, but I'm not going to put in a copy of every page that I make into theirs.

Jeremy and I talked in church today. It went well, but I'm always glad to have that over with.
My talk was about Eternal Perspective and Jeremy spoke about the purpose of trials.

Becca also had a talk in Primary today. She did a great job.

A Thursday in June

I'm having lots of fun putting pictures in my scrapbook. I really enjoy working with papers, colors, design, etc.
Yesterday was a great day for pictures --we had swim lessons, lunch at the park, shopping at Costco and yet to be scrapbooked--baseball games.

Jeremy's birthday

Last month was Jeremy's birthday and we were able to spend it in St. George since that was his week off work.  We enjoyed our time very much.

Getting my scrapbook skills back up to speed I practiced making a page using a more traditional scrapbook approach, in the layout that is, and I really like how it turned out.

Thanks to very generous and talented designers all of the products I used are from my collection of freebies I have gotten from the internet.

Kids scrapbooks

I haven't done any scrapbooking for over a year. That means that I haven't been taking as many pictures. I was helping Tom make a scrapbook page for himself and there weren't very many pictures of him from this last year. When I scrapbook more often I tend to take more pictures of just everyday stuff. I hope to actually start doing weekly or at least a couple times a month layouts that capture the ordinary things. I think if I get my kids involved with making the pages it is likely to happen more often.

So I'm posting the pages that Tom and Becca made (with my help of course since I do them on the computer in Photoshop elements). They do the designing and I do the more technical things.

To see the detail better you can click on the image and it will open larger.
