Fun at the county fair

We went to the Twin Falls county fair tonight. We forgot to bring the stroller, which was unfortunate, Matthew didn't mind being carried the whole time but our arms sure did.

The kids had a great time deciding which rides to use their tickets on. Charlie felt brave and went on the ride that goes all the way around so that you are upside down high in the air. His facial expressions and screams seemed to say that he didn't like it, yet he claims that he did. Although, he did say he will wait a couple years before he goes on it again.

We walked around to some of the exhibits and saw the bunnies, draft horses, 4H projects and a display of early models of motorized machinery.

We hadn't planned out what we needed to bring to the fair, like the stroller. We also didn't think about bringing jackets and our fair weather children got cold after the sun went down and had their arms pulled inside their t-shirts.

We ended the evening of fun eating "elephant fries" (large pile of curly fries) which were very tasty, then we drove home and in the twenty minute drive home all the children fell asleep.

I love county fairs! How does your husband like his new job? I'll bet it feels nice to have student days behind you! My kids still talk about your kids. In fact, in discussing haircuts for the girls, Ingrid told me she wants her hair short like Lydia's (except she didn't remember Lydia's name...sadly!)
